Our First Day in Room 8

We had a wonderful day with our new friends.

We learned about the words I & am. We did cut up sentences and then drew a picture in our writing books. 

We talked about finger spaces and which

way we go across a page.

We found beginning sounds on our word cards.

We went and visited Mrs Andrew in her office
to share our work with her.







         

We finished our name art that we began on our school visits. 

Here we are with our beautiful names.

We went to a show in the school hall. A visiting performer told stories of his heritage from across the world, through dance.  Here we are ready to watch the show.

He did a North American Indian dance using hoops which he somehow linked up to transform into a bird or butterfly. He also performed poi and haka to tell his stories.
