As you know we are an Enviroschool at Wainui Beach School. We learn about sustainable practises and how we are responsible for the care of our environment. This year the children of Ngā Ngaru have taken on the responsibility for overseeing the rubbish situation at school. We are going to try to do regular reports for the rest of the school on how our rubbish is looking and talk about what we can do to reduce rubbish at school. Here's our first rubbish report that we did last week for all classes to look at.
We are a New Entrant class. This is a journey of our year. We will post photos of our art work and learning experiences. Please share this with your friends and family. There is a page of information on Transition to school for parents of new children beginning at Wainui Beach School.

Well done guys! Nice to see you out and about and caring for your Kura and the environment:)
ReplyDeleteGreat report Nga Ngaru - wow you guys found a lot of rubbish at school! At our house we try to reduce rubbish by recycling paper, plastic and metal stuff. We also take old batteries and gladwrap to the Tairawhiti Environment Centre for recycling.
ReplyDeleteWow Nga Ngaru! You are doing an amazing job of keeping your school sparkly clean. You have loads of great ideas on how you can improve on the rubbish you found. I have one I can share too - leave your rubbish at home when you pack your lunch :) I look forward to seeing your next report 😃

Wow Nga Ngaru, you have picked up so much rubbish! It's great to see how organised you are at sorting what should go where and sharing your knowledge. Can't wait to see your next rubbish report, maybe you will have a lot less rubbish to pick up because you have done such a great job of cleaning and communicating!
