Discovery at the Beach
It was such a beautiful day today at Wainui Beach, so we decided to make the most of it and spend our Discovery Time down on the beach.
The whole junior syndicate went down together. We got to hang out with our friends from other classes.

Our smiley face emoji art
Today we made these cute emoji-smiley face pictures. Mrs Broad wanted to see how we could use scissors, colour in , use a gluestick and follow a pattern to put our faces together.
We all did a great job.
We are learning that "mistakes are our friends," and that we can learn from them.
We are learning to have a go, even if we are not sure.
We are learning to keep trying, even if we are finding it really tricky.
Check out how cute and colourful our pictures all look!

Welcome to Room 9 2016
Welcome to the new entrant class of 2016. We start our year of tomorrow on Tuesday 2nd of February. We will be officially welcomed to Wainui Beach School with a powhiri in the school hall.
During the summer holidays I moved classrooms from Room 8 to Room 9. I will try to post regularly to share our learning and activities with you. Feel free to share this blog with extended whanau. Last year many of our children had family overseas who loved seeing what their child was learning about at school. It is a great way to keep in touch.
Let the Room 9 adventures begin!
